The new Audi R18 Hybrid

In preparation for the inaugural World Endurance Cup starting with the 12 Hours of Sebring in March, Audi is busy testing the 2012 car.

Rumored to be a diesel/electric hybrid, the new car features improvements both in aerodynamics and safety.

Considering what happened to McNish and Rockenfeller at Le Mans, outside of improving the visibility out of the cockpit, I can’t imagine what other safety improvements they could make.

The differences are subtle, but they’re there.
